The roof module fits on the vehicle bodywork and is in the form of a windscreen and an attached roof region which is at least partly transparent. The bodywork (1) to which the roof module (8) is fixed has a frame which includes at least the side A-pillars (6) and the adjacent roof beams (7). The roof module may be in one transparent piece.
