<p>An excitation light source unit (2) has the amplification band extension function capable of extending the current amplification band stepwise while maintaining the flat amplification band so that an amplification band can be flexibly extended successively on a small extension unit. The excitation light source unit (2) includes one or more LD modules (LD1 to LD3, LD11 to LD13) outputting excitation light to cover the current amplification band, one or more LD modules (LD16, LD17) outputting excitation light to cover the amplification band extended, and a setting controller for controlling the resetting of the excitation light output of the LD modules (LD1 to LD3, LD11 to LD17) under a predetermined condition and flattening the entire amplification band.</p> |
