<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the friction coefficient of sealing ring even if lubricating action is absent in a fluid to be hermetically sealed and prevent abrasive powder produced when the sealing rings are slid from being mixed in the fluid to be sealed in a rotary joint. <P>SOLUTION: This rotary joint is provided with a mechanical seal 2 disposed on the axial side of connection passages 26A and 26B communicating first and second fluid passages 60A and 60D between the inner peripheral surface 60C of a body and the outer peripheral surface 50C of a rotor 50 with first and second communication passages 3A and 3B and sealingly communicating the first and second flow passages 60A and 60D with the first and second communication passages 3A and 3B. In the mechanical seal for sealing the sealed fluid flowing from the second fluid passage to the second communication passage, at least one of the rotating sealing ring 15 and the fixed sealing ring 25 is made of resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
