PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed monitoring and searching system allowing users to execute searching over a plurality of monitoring networks without the awareness of a difference between the monitoring networks, in particular, while minimizing setting changes of the monitoring networks. SOLUTION: Each of monitoring and searching devices 105a (105c), 105b (105d) has a distributed control means for managing the coordination of the name of the monitoring and searching device with an input means 103 for monitoring data as distributed constitution information. A monitoring network connecting device 102 has the distributed constitution information for both monitoring networks 101a, 101b connected thereto. The monitoring networks 101a, 101b are connected with the monitoring and searching devices 105c (105a), 105d (105b) in coordination with all other input means 103.
