PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable resistor used for the operation part of an electronic apparatus of every kind, and to provide an operation unit and the electronic apparatus using the resistor. SOLUTION: A stable resistance value change is obtained by forming a resistor 1 on either the lower surface of a sheet 3 or the internal bottom face of a case 11, and a central contact 8 facing the resistor 1 through a prescribed gap 7 on the upper surface of the sheet 3 or the external bottom face of the case 11, by changing the contacting area between the resistor 1 and contact 8 in accordance with the pressed state of the sheet 3.
