PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection fence wherein a space between posts is widened by integrating the posts by a connecting rod to improve strength between the supports. SOLUTION: The posts 2, 3 are erected with a space on a concrete foundation 7. A wire gauze 5 is stretched between the posts 2, 3. The upper parts of the posts 2, 3 are connected by the connecting rod 6. A support 51 for supporting the connecting rod 6 is provided between the concrete foundation 7 and connecting rod 6 and between the supports 2, 3. In portal structure comprising the supports 2, 3 and the connecting rod 6, the connecting rod 6 is supported by the support 51 between the supports 2, 3 to improve the strength of the portal structure.
