PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supporting a plurality of interfaces, and a method of controlling priority adaptable for the device. SOLUTION: This interface device comprises a plurality of ports supporting at least one interface system, a plurality of interface convertors connected to the proper port and converting a signal of the corresponding interface system into a signal of the interface system adaptable for the peripheral device, a priority control part inputting the signal of each interface system from the plurality of ports, discriminating the connected interface system, and determining the priority of the interface systems when the plurality of interface systems are connected, a port selecting part for selectively operating one of the plurality of interface convertors on the basis of the result of discrimination by the priority control part, and a connecting part connected to the plurality of interface convertors, and inputting and outputting the signal of the interface system adaptable for the peripheral device.
