A horticultural system 10 comprises a common drainage duct 14 defining a bore 13 and a plurality of horticultural modules 12.1 to 12.n. Each module comprises a sidewall 19 defining a chamber 30 and a hole 28. Each module is a slidable tight fit on the duct with the duct extending through the hole 28. In use, the modules are stacked on one another. Each chamber 30 is in direct liquid flow communication with the bore 13 of the duct via a respective set of openings 50.1 to 50.n in a wall of the duct.
