<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image composition method which does not accumulate preprocessing errors and can be performed in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing method comprises a step for reading multiple digital images with image distortion imaging with a part of an object including not less than four points with known coordinate values, a step for indicating the position of the points in each image, a step for inputting the coordinate values of the indicated points, a step for correcting the image distortion of each image based on the position of the indicated points and the inputted coordinate values, a step for arranging each corrected image so that the points on the corrected image corresponding to the indicated points are at the positions of the coordinate values, and a step for compositing the arranged images into a single image. Correction of the image distortion is thereby performed based on the indicated reference point and its coordinate values, and thus preprocessing errors will not be accumulated even when many images are combined to be composited.
