<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a temperature drops due to direct admission of cold open air to a heating chamber, temperature and humidity of air sucked change by weather and unevenness of temperature and humidity occurs, consequently, an evil influence is encountered, a damage occurs by rapid drying, qualities deteriorate due to shrunk laver, or the like, caused by wrinkles resulting from uneven shrinkage or the value of dried laver falls. <P>SOLUTION: A building equipped with open air inlet ports and an inner air outlet port is furnished with an auxiliary heater, a duct, the heating chamber and a drying chamber. Raw laver is dried by supplying warm air to the heating chamber by the auxiliary heater and the duct and supplying hot air in the heating chamber to the drying chamber. Warm air in the drying chamber is supplied to the heating chamber and exhausted to the outside. The method for drying laver comprises supplying warm air from a large number of blow-off ports of the duct attached to the auxiliary heater to the heating chamber. A proper amount or a necessary amount of warm air is separately supplied through the auxiliary heater and the duct to the heating chamber.
