<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a weather information providing system which surely acquires the current state of weather in a small regional unit at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: Data on the current state of the weather in the area of each office, which an employee periodically and manually inputs through a POS terminal, is transferred to a host computer at the head office by making use of a POS system which transfers the data from POS terminals 11A installed at a plurality of the offices 10A to the host computer 13A at the head office, and the data on the current state of the weather are stored in a current weather condition server 1 which is connected to a network N having a two-way communication function. With this arrangement, a weather database 2 having at least observation point data, weather kind data and observation time data is constructed, and the weather information at the latest observation time at each observation point is provided from a current weather condition server to users' terminal devices 4, 5 and 6 via the network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
