PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device and a connector capable of surely protecting lighting equipment, and whose connection work with the outside is simplified. SOLUTION: Since the lighting equipment 13 is equipped in a rectangular parallelepiped support frame 11 and an opening 12 for lighting is covered with a translucent cover 14, the lighting equipment is surely protected from breakage due to contact with foreign objects from the outside. When the lighting device is connected with an external circuit, the connection is completed by pushing supporters 24 of the connector 15, advancing a plurality of contacts 23, and engaging ends formed into the shape of a hook with connection counterparts, so that an operation is simplified. After the connection, an engaged state is sustained by springs 27. When the connection is released, the engagement of the ends is released by pushing pushing members 26 and displacing the plurality of contacts 23 in the width direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
