PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a stereophonic system recording without increasing a cost and without making a device configuration complicated in a communication terminal capable of sound recording and a communication terminal control program and a communication terminal controlling method for controlling the communication terminal. SOLUTION: When an earphone microphone 130 is connected, a control part 14 sets a built-in microphone 131l of a portable telephone 100 and an external microphone 131r of the earphone microphone 130 as a pair of stereophonic system microphones to perform stereophonic system recording. Because the control part 14 separately stores sound data obtained from a left side and one from a right side (that is, separately stores sound data obtained from the built-in microphone 131l and sound data obtained from the external microphone 131r) in a ROM 15, the sound data stored in the ROM 15 can be reproduced by the stereophonic system.
