PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application in which a stream corresponding to user's taste is automatically selected out of a plurality of streams under broadcasting by broadcasting information representing contents of streams and synchronizing processing of the information presenting the contents of the streams with the streams, and editing on an STB is made possible by switching the streams in synchronism with the contents of the streams. SOLUTION: The application is provided for broadcasting the information which represents the contents of a stream as data synchronized with the stream, and controlling a reproduction of video and audio based upon the information of the data. Thus, editing which is conventionally performed in a broadcasting station is performed on the digital television receiver, and video matched to a request for every viewer is produced.
