PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coming-off stopper of a shoji capable of easily releasing a coming-off stop and being surely locked in a state to set the coming-off stop. SOLUTION: The coming-off stopper of the shoji includes a body 3 fixed to the lower end of a door stop rail 1 and a coming-off stop member 5 pivotally supported by the body 3 by a vertical shaft 4 in a horizontally turnable manner and in a vertically movable manner. The coming-off stop member 5 includes a releasing operation piece 6 extended to a jamb 11 side and an impact contact coming-off stop piece 7, the end on the indoor side of the piece 7 is used for the coming-off stop section capable of being abutted on the lower surface of a projected ridge 13 projectively formed on the outdoor side along the way in the longitudinal direction of a sill 12, and an intermediate section of the piece 7 is used for a free impact contact section with the jamb 11. A section 8 guiding the lower surface of the piece 7 and an engaged recess groove 10 wherein the piece 7 falls down to engage therewith are provided to the body 3, the guide section has an inclined plane 9 with the high back side, the piece 7 is contacted with impact to the jamb to turn when the shoji is closed and, at the same time, it falls into the enagage recess groove by sliding the inclined plane to control the turning of the member 5.
