PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massager which can massage a human body supported by the massager body without breaking while suppressing inurement. SOLUTION: This massager is equipped with units 10a, 10b for shoulders, a moving means, and a controller. Each unit is equipped with a slantingly moving plate (movable body) 20 which has a forward projected pressure element 21 and is rotatable in the longitudinal direction and an air bag (working means) 18 which is inflated/contracted by charging/discharging air and pushes the movable body when being inflated and placed on the backrest part of a chair body. The moving means disposed on the chair body moves the pressure element 21 for every prescribed distance along the therapy line of the neck and shoulder part of a human body. The controller controls the air bag 18 and the moving means respectively to press the lines by the pressure elements 21 to move the movable body 20 for a prescribed distance under the pressure. Split massage to separate the pressure element 21 from the line following the movement is repeatedly carried out under the control by the controller. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
