The machine for folding signatures comprises a plate (14) with a folding surface (16) which overlaps part (18) of the signature. This is mounted in a drum (50) which is rotated by a drive roller (20) so that its position is cyclically altered and the folding surface follows the path of the signature. An independent claim is included for: (a) a web-fed rotary printer fitted with the folding machine; and (b) a method for folding signatures using the machine.
