<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for color filter having heat resistance, light resistance and chemical resistance, wherein the number of steps for manufacturing the color filter can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A step for forming a colored pixel pattern of a prescribed color in a partition 21 previously formed on a plastics substrate by an ink jet method using a photosensitive colored resin composition of a prescribed color is repeated necessary times to prepare the color filter. The partition 21 is formed by using a resin black layer colored by a light shielding material of a black pigment or a black dyestuff by a thermal transfer method.
