<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming an image which is hardly affected by banding. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises an irradiating means for irradiating a photosensitive body with a light by each line and an image forming means for forming a latent image on the photosensitive body. Markings having a writing line pitch corresponding to that of an image formed on the photosensitive body are provided on the writing face of the photosensitive body and a portion on the writing face of the photosensitive body which is not used for the writing. The image forming apparatus further comprises a position detecting means for reading the markings and a writing control means for controlling the irradiation of the irradiating means according to a writing signal based on a position detecting signal from the position detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
