<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface with improved convenience. <P>SOLUTION: A display of a personal computer displays a town 173 as a three dimensional virtual space. A building icon on the town 173 is associated with a function. For example, a book store 175 is associated with a web site for selling books on-line, a radio tower 176 is associated with a web site providing news, and a mailbox 178 is associated with a mailer. The display displays a guide to updates information of each function associated with each building icon in the order starting with the updated information most important to users.
