PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To almost straighten the visual boundary line at the edge of a coating film which is formed by coating while protecting a place, which is not to be subjected to a surface treatment, with a masking material. SOLUTION: The masking material 11 is prepared by forming grooves 12 at specified positions on at least one side of a board 11A made of a polystyrene foam with an expansion ratio of 5-100, thus dividing the board into a plurality of unit blocks 11B. When the masking material 11 made of a polystyrene foam with such an expansion ratio is bent and broken along the groove 12, the surface 15 formed by breaking is straight. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
