PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tanδmeasuring method for a cable line which enhances workability when tanδmeasurement is performed, and increases a degree of freedom of selection of attaching positions for a charging current detecting element and a voltage signal detecting element, by dispensing with one of cables for connecting the charging current detecting element and the voltage signal detecting element to the body of a measuring apparatus. SOLUTION: A first GPS receiving unit is arranged near the charging current detecting element for the cable line which is single-point-grounded, and the relation between a time signal which this first GPS receiving unit receives and a charging current from the charging current detecting element is found. A second GPS receiving unit is arranged near the voltage detecting element for the cable line, and the relation between a time signal which this second GPS receiving unit receives and a voltage signal from the voltage detecting element is found. On the basis of the time signals, a phase difference between the charging current and the voltage signal at specific time is found, and tanδof the cable line is found from this phase difference.
