PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for writing in a picture, with which the picture is written in to a display medium for optical writing in corresponding to an intended use and which reduces the cost. SOLUTION: In the device 1 for writing in the picture, a low resolution picture display part 11 for writing in information, to which low resolution is acceptable, to the display medium 2 for optical writing in and a high resolution picture display part 12 for writing in information, to which high resolution is indispensable, to the display medium 2 for optical writing in are provided. Thereby a low resolution picture for a part where the low resolution is acceptable and a high resolution picture for a part where the high resolution is indispensable are respectively written in to the display medium 2 for optical writing in. For example, low resolution is acceptable to information to be visually viewed by an operator from a long distance and high resolution is indispensable to barcode information or the like standardized to be mechanically (optically) read out. The device 1 writes in both low and high resolution pictures and is realized by a cost lower than in the case where the full surface is constructed with a high resolution display device.
