PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer which can prevent a glass product from getting damaged during conveyance, simplify a packaging operation, and reduce the generation of wastes. SOLUTION: A plate glass carrier 10 mainly comprises a floor 11, a back receiving part 12 protruding upward from the rear end of the floor to serve as a supporting member for supporting the glass product (platelike object) 21, a pressing device 17 standing vertically from the front end of the upper surface of the floor, an approximately L-shaped base 19 for mounting them, and a front frame 20 coupled with the back of the base via a coupling 23. A plurality of glass products (platelike objects) are arranged on a glass receive 14 so that their respective plate surfaces face a back receiving frame 15 across the spacer 22.
