PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction-stirred joining apparatus for performing the friction-stirred joining even in the case of a complicated material to be joined, by using a robot-arm. SOLUTION: In the case of continuously joining the material 51 to be joined with respective rotators 31a, 31b, the rotators 31a, 31b receive reaction forces F11, F14 from the material 51 to be joined in a reverse direction to an advancing direction 38. Respective rotators 31a, 31b are displacement-driven so as to mutually cancel the reaction forces F11, F14 of the respective rotators 31a, 31b received from the material 51 to be joined with an advancing-directional driving means 36. In this way, on a base table 33, a plurality of reaction forces F11, F14 given from the material 51 to be joined through the respective rotators 31a, 31b are mutually canceled. Further, the robot-arm 32 for supporting the base table 33 can reduce the force received from the base table 33 and thus, the continuous friction-stirred joining can well be performed by using the robot-arm 32.
