The base (23), neck part (27) and/or middle part (25) of the paint pot (7) are releasably connected together. The gun (1) has a spray nozzle (3) with an air supply opening (9) and a paint supply opening (11). A hand grip part (5) is provided with air inlet and outlet openings (13, 15) connected to each other via an air channel (17) and to the corresponding air and paint supply openings in the nozzle. An actuator (19) is provided in the hand grip part for opening and closing the connecting air channel. The paint pot has an outlet opening (21) releasably connected to the nozzle. During use of the gun the pot is located above the nozzle and its outlet opening is connected to the paint supply opening in the nozzle. The pot also comprises a base part, a neck part with an outlet opening and a middle part between the base and neck parts.
