<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a required time to start printing becomes long because some time is required for a user's input operation. <P>SOLUTION: A printing device comprises a medium attachment section 2 to which a storage medium 7 is detachably attached, a memory 4 for storing data of a hierarchical screen for operation to receive, by the user's input operation, print command information needed when data stored in the storage medium 7 is printed, a UI section 5 with a display section for displaying the screen for operation, a printing part 6 and a control part 3 for controlling these parts. The control part 3 recognizes data storage conditions including a file type of the data stored in the storage medium 7 when the storage medium 7 is set at the medium attachment section 2, decides a display hierarchy of the screen for operation to be displayed on the display section according to the recognized data storage conditions, and controls so that the screen for operation is displayed on the display section according to the decided display hierarchy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
