<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor module allowing easy assembling of a base into a package, and suppressing the lowering of coupling efficiency of light between an optical fiber and the optical semiconductor element and breakage of the optical fiber. <P>SOLUTION: This optical semiconductor module 10 is equipped with a base 11 loading the optical fiber 7 and the optical semiconductor element 1, a first wall 8c formed with a delivering part 8b for delivering the optical fiber and a second wall 8d facing the first wall, and the package 8 delivering the optical fiber from the delivering part to house the base.
