<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem in which a shake detection system using a range-finding sensor in blur detection during photographing does not ensure an image signal of a sufficient level if a subject is dark, failing to caution about the occurrence of blur. <P>SOLUTION: In the camera having a caution function, when the camera is used on a strobe-mode setting, switching between the execution and stop of a blur detection mode is performed. In a photographic scene where blur is not ignorable, the blur detection mode is set and shake detection is carried out. If blur occurs, a caution is given to let a photographer to be aware of the occurrence. Further, in holding determination, an existing optical sensor mounted in the camera as a conventional range-finding sensor is used in blur determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
