<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide support information necessary for operator's operation by simple and efficient operation and to provide a data processing method and a data processor for improving the efficiency and comfortableness of operation. <P>SOLUTION: Operation information supporting software is started by input with a prescribed key, a 1st sort item obtained by integrating individual simple and easily understandable operation support information to retrieve the information is displayed on the screen of a display device, the contents of a sort item selected by the input with a key corresponding to numerals or alphabets of the selected sort item while referring to numerals or alphabets assigned to respective sort items are converted into the 1st sort item and displayed on the screen of the display device.
