<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, reliable electric actuator of an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: In the electric actuator of the automatic transmission, current is supplied to a motor corresponding to a failed polyphase inverter from a polyphase inverter corresponding to remaining motors when the failure in a polyphase inverter corresponding to one of a plurality of motors is detected. Therefore, in the electric actuator of the automatic transmission, a failure detection means is provided for each phase in a plurality of polyphase inverters; one of polyphase input terminals in one of the plurality of motors is connected to one of the same phases in the polyphase input terminal in one of the remaining motors via a switch means; and the switch means is controlled by a controlling apparatus when the failure is detected in the polyphase inverter corresponding to one of the plurality of motors by the failure detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
