PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article coated with a thin film on an amorphous polyolefin resin, while taking advantage of the properties of the resin, thereby imparting mar resistance and, if necessary, an anti-reflection function, glare protection properties, water repellency, hydrophilic nature, stain proofness and the like, and a method for manufacturing the article. SOLUTION: A hard-coated layer is formed by irradiating an amorphous polyolefin resin base with active energy radiation after treating the surface of the base to make it hydrophilic and applying a hard coat solution containing (A) a polyfunctional acrylate, (B) an aminosilane and (C) colloidal silica. In addition, the glare protection properties, water repellency and stain proofness are imparted to the amorphous polyolefin resin base by adding fine particles and/or a fluoroalkylsilane to the hard coat solution.
