PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless relay transmission system to a wireless access system wherein no degradation in the characteristics of a communication rate by multi-stage relaying is caused even when a plurality of access points are wirelessly connected, the access point making wireless connection from a user terminal to a wired network. SOLUTION: The wireless relay transmission system includes: a host station wireless unit that is used by each of access points 107, a, b, c as a communication route to the wired network; and a subordinate station wireless unit used for communication with a user terminal or an access point wirelessly connected to the user terminal, the host station wireless unit and the subordinate station wireless unit being separately provided; and a means for using a control signal to make an inquiry of surrounding access points, wherein a frequency corresponding one to one to a frequency set to the host station wireless unit is set to the subordinate station wireless unit so as to eliminate a transmission stop state by the carrier sensing of the wireless access system, thereby preventing the degradation in the communication rate due to multi-stage relaying.
