PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice synthesizer capable of suppressing unnatural voice output. SOLUTION: The voice synthesizer transforms document data into voice data and outputs the same. The voice synthesizer is provided with a document analyzing part 1 which abstracts one sentence in a document in the document data and detects a pause of a paragraph in the document in the document data, a voice transforming part 2 which transforms the document data of one sentence abstracted by the document data analyzing part 1 to the voice data and accumulates the voice data into a memory part 3 and an output control part 5 which reads the voice data accumulated by the voice transforming part 2 continuously at every paragraph from the memory part 3 and outputs the same when the pause of the paragraph is detected by the document data analyzing part 1.
