PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize both of the reliability and the assembling workability of a seal, while realizing the cost reduction of the seal, the easiness in designing and the reduction of the transmission of sound vibration by applying an insertion-type seal structure. SOLUTION: A nozzle 11 is fitted to an injector bore 6 formed on an combustion chamber 5 of an engine, and two seal rings 13, 14 are fitted in a state of being axially adjacent to the nozzle 11 for sealing between the nozzle 11 and the injector bore 6. The combustion chamber-side seal ring 14 positioned at an inner side of the combustion chamber 5, is made out of a material composed of 90-100 mass % fluorine resin and 0-10 mass % of inorganic filler. A compressive elastic modulus at a room temperature, of the combustion room-side seal ring 14 is 350-600 MPa, and a compressive elastic modulus at a room temperature, of the atmosphere air-side seal ring 13 positioned at an outer side of the combustion chamber 5 is 700-1000 MPa. A volume of the atmosphere air-side seal ring 13 is 5-30% of that of the combustion chamber-side seal ring 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
