PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording tape cartridge which can open and close an opening constituted to minimize the drawing route of a recording tape and so that a shielding member capable of miniaturizing a housing space in a drive unit does not interfere with a reel and a leader member. SOLUTION: In the recording tape cartridge 10, the opening 20 facing in both the front and the side directions is formed by notching a corner at a loading side to the drive unit and a leader pin 22 and a magnetic tape 14 are drawn in the shortest route from the opening 20. A door 50 having a shape curved in a circular arc is turned so as to creep round around the pin base 24 and the outside of the reel 14 without going out from a moving locus along the curvature shape in a case 12, thereby the opening 20 is opened and closed. A pair of standard protrusions 59A and 59B are protruded on the end surfaces in the width direction of the door 50 and are used for inspecting the curvature shape of the door 50.
