PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head in which conduction time can be controlled in the unit body thereof depending on the driving power supply voltage of a recording heater, and to provide a recorder provided with the recording head. SOLUTION: The recording head comprising a heater 1 and a circuit for driving the heater 1 by supplying power thereto further comprises an AND gate 3 and a transistor 2 for starting conduction of the heater 1 depending on a recording data signal when a heat pulse signal HP designating the power supply timing of the heater 1 is supplied, a capacitor 7 being charged with a power supply voltage VH for driving the heater 1 when a heat pulse signal HP designating the conduction timing of the heater 1 is supplied, and a comparator 8 for stopping conduction of the heater 1 by pulling one input signal to an ANDGEDO 3 to low level when the charging voltage of the capacitor 7 reaches a specified level VC.
