PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for working a glassware decoratively which keeps glass strength even when a decorative recessed part is formed by after-working for the glass surface. SOLUTION: First, the decorative recessed part l2 is formed by removing a part of the glass surface ll of the glassware l through after-working, then an encapsulation material 2 is injected into the recessed part l2 and a part of the recessed part l2 is filled with the material 2. After that, a liquid material 5a containing silicon is injected onto the encapsulation material 2 in the recessed part l2 and the recessed part l2 is buried so that the encapsulation material 2 is enclosed into the recessed part l2. Thus a vitreous cured material 5 is formed into one piece with the glassware l by curing the liquid material 5a containing silicon. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
