<p>An oil-based ink composition for ink-jet recording which comprises a colorant and at least 50 wt.% mixed solvent comprising 1 part by weight of a polyoxyethylene glycol dialkyl ether represented by the following general formula (1) and 0.02 to 4 parts by weight of a lactone solvent. The composition has suitability for printing on polyvinyl chloride substrates and is excellent in all of print quality, printing stability, drying properties in printing, and ink storage stability.
