PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for certifying the genuineness of electronic data capable of relieving the load of a process of certifying the genuineness of data. SOLUTION: The system 1 for certifying the genuineness of electronic data receives and stores pieces of electronic data whose genuineness is to be certified from a user terminal 2 through a safe communication network 3 and imparts an electronic signature to a piece of electronic data requested by the user terminal 2 when requested, among the stored pieces of electronic data, then, electronic data which are not requested are not given the electronic signature, and consequently the load of the process of the system 1 for certifying the genuineness of electronic data can be relieved.
