PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an E-mail device capable of preventing its user from forgetting his/her schedule such as an appointment of a meeting informed by an E-mail. SOLUTION: This E-mail device has a transmitting/receiving function for transmitting/receiving an E-mail. The E-mail device is provided with a keyword retrieving means 17 retrieving a keyword such as a date from a title and the contents of the transmitted/received E-mail at a predetermined time, an alarm information forming means 18 estimating an alarm time from the E-mail including the keyword, and an alarm means 19 informing his/her appointment to the user by an alarm according to the date estimated by the alarm information forming means 18. When the E-mail device transmits/receives the E-mail carrying the schedule such as the appointment of the meeting, the alarm means 19 makes an alarm to the user of the E-mail device based on the date of the meeting and the like estimated by the alarm information forming means 18.
