PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image processing system in which a USB is adopted to each physical interface of a data processing part and facsimile equipment. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided with: an attribute acquiring means for acquiring attribute information that the data processing part has through a first interface means; a request item judging means for deciding a request item of status information associated to a status of the data processing part by an external processor; a connection deciding means for deciding whether or not the external connector is connected to a second interface means, a request item notification means for notifying the data processing part of request item information determined by the request item judging means when it is determined that the external processor is connected; and a status information acquiring means for acquiring the status information of the data processing part corresponding to the request item information via the first interface means.
