PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system in which sound pressure frequency characteristics are improved as compared with a prior art while enhancing the workability of assembling work by a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: A protrusion 8 extending rearward toward a baffle plate 7a is formed on the rear surface at the outer circumferential edge of a frame 1 of a speaker unit U. When the protrusion 8 abuts against the front face of the baffle plate 7a, the outer circumferential edge of the frame 1 floats slightly above the baffle plate 7a to form a specified vent communicating between the inside and the outside of a speaker enclosure 7. Since pressure in the speaker enclosure 7 does not increase even if a diaphragm 2 is driven back and forth, low range characteristics are prevented from deteriorating. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
