PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line connection control apparatus for dividing line connection from a plurality of portable information terminals into arbitrary combinations. SOLUTION: A conference room application 221 comprises three conference rooms. Users of the portable information terminals connected to respective conference rooms are allowed to have concurrent telephone conversations. In dialing from a commander, "from the portable information terminal of a registered member" is selected for calling, thus connecting the member to a specified conference room. In an arrival signal from the member, the member can make connection to the specified conference room for entry by allowing the commander to specify the conference room. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
