PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat used for a device for getting on and off and for moving back and forth a toilet, that makes it easy for a care-receiver to use the toilet while on a bed to prevent the care-receiver from fear by enabling the device to move smoothly, based on the fact that, in addition to making awkward movements, the care-receiver or bedding is susceptible to entrapment with metal fittings, or the like, imposing a substantial burden on the care-receiver. SOLUTION: A mat is split into elongate pieces which are inserted with slits in an alternate fashion from a middle part of the mat and secured to a bed at one end. About one third of the split mat has a stay and a stay body is incorporated into the mat. The stay is not completely secured to the device and a bag cap is attached to the lower portion of the stay and inserted into the stay disposed in the device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
