PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene resin composition having excellent flexibility and heat resistance, and simultaneously improved transparency, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The polyethylene resin composition comprises 50-95 wt.% ethylene-α-olefin copolymer (A) which has a density of higher than 0.890 g/cm<SP>3</SP>to less than 0.93 cm<SP>3</SP>, a Q value (Mw/Mn) of≤3.5, and an FR of less than 7 and meets a specified relationship between the density and the hexane extract amount and 5-50 wt.% hydrogenated product (B) of a thermoplastic styrene-diolefin block copolymer having a styrene content of 5-60 wt.%, simultaneously has an islands-sea structure in which the component (A) constitutes a continuous phase and the component (B) constitutes a dispersion phase of a number average circle-equivalent particle diameter of≤1,000 nm, and meets a specified relationship between the density of the component (A) and the styrene content of the component (B). A sheet having excellent flexibility, heat resistance, and simultaneously transparency is obtained from the polyethylene resin composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
