<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic document circulation system for allowing an interested person to recognize the fact of delegating the authority, and to inform a proper final decider of a request for processing when the final decider of a document delegates the authority for final decision in the electronic document circulation system. <P>SOLUTION: This system electronically managerially and finally decides the document, and presets a final decision passage for circulating the electronic document. A maker of the electronic document selects one of a circulator or a final decider for requesting approval and final decision after making the document (Step S2). Determination is made on whether or not the selected person is the final decider before delegating the authority (Step S3). When the selected person is the final decider before delegating the authority, an identification display for indicating the fact of being the final decider before delegating the authority, for example, an identification display such as " arbitrary decision " is set in the final decision passage together with a final decider name before delegating the authority (Step S4).
