<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data of a CD on a HDD so that the record contents of the CD are reflected intact, and to shorten the time for executing the operation of synchronization ripping. <P>SOLUTION: In recording on a HDD by reading out from the CD track data managed by the unit of track by a TOC (table of content), among the track data recorded on the CD, unrecorded data that are not recorded on the HDD are recognized. The recognition process is automatically executed on the basis of the TOC read from the CD and album information which is prepared using the TOC and which is possessed by the HDD. Based on the recognition result on the unrecorded data, it is constituted so that only the unrecorded data are reproduced and outputted from the CD, to be recorded on the HDD. Accordingly, because the data that are already recorded on the HDD are not transferred to or recorded on the HDD from the CD, the time for executing the synchronization ripping is shortened, to that extent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
