PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment and a casing therefor that facilitate fitting of a battery. SOLUTION: When a battery cover 1 is turned on a latch mechanism A as the axis, battery pushing portions 2 on the battery cover 1 push a battery 20 in a given moving direction by means of slopes of projections. Thereby, a connector 22 of the battery 20 and a connector 12 on a printed circuit board 11 in a body 10 fit with each other to be electrically connected.
