PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube capable of preventing a color shift of a screen caused by ion bombardment without requiring any special treatment. SOLUTION: The color cathode-ray tube has a structure such that all the center tracks of three electron beams 10R, 10G and 10B emitted from a cathode 5 are bent between the cathode 5 and a focusing electrode 8. Consequently, the colliding position of Ar ions in the cathode is shifted from an actual electron emission surface of the cathode 5, and thus the actual electron emission surface of the cathode 5 is unaffected by ion bombardment.
